At Home Workout Guide

No equipment required and all can be done in minimal space

I am SO excited about today's post!

It’s simple. Traveling and staying in shape doesn’t normally go hand in hand. Vacation is known as a time for relaxing, over-indulging, and treating yourself.

Whether I’m staying in a hotel, traveling from destination to destination, or heading north for a weekend at the cottage – I’ve always struggled to stay on the “work out train." Just because you’re traveling doesn’t mean you can’t continue to strive for balance and routine.

I bet we all can relate. As soon as we reach our island destination or hit the lake house our daily workouts and healthy eating go right out the window. Because: “Hey, we're on vacation!” or “Hey, it’s summer!” This WAS me – simply because I didn’t want to spend hours on end exercising while I could be wandering the streets in Rome, Italy, or laying on the dock with friends at the cottage. However, over the last couple of years I have come to realize that this doesn’t necessarily need to be the reason – I don’t need to spend hours on end exercising.

So back to why I’m SO excited about this post! I’ve taken my passion for traveling and collaborated with Sami Punzo a personal trainer, Pilates instructor, and owner of Newmarket Functions Studio Inc to create a combination of exercises and workouts that can be done anywhere. So now you really have no excuses!

  • If you want to make any of the following exercises more difficult you can use weights and/or increase the number of reps

  • ALL workouts and exercises are to sever as a guide line - if you have trouble or feel pain doing any switch it out for something else

  • For HIIT interval training I recommend the apps: Tabata Timer, Interval Timer, Seconds Interval Timer HIIT

So grab your runners, a bottle of water and your workout guide - and get going!
