Breakfast Smoothie Favourites

Raise your hand if you’re a breakfast lover? I gotta be honest, breakfast is my most favourite meal of the day. I try and start every morning with a smoothie - easier said than done... as I love avo toast. Being so CRAZY busy right now... I find smoothies are the BEST way to get my greens and all sorts of nutritious foods that I need to fuel my body. Besides, having smoothies for breakfast, I love them before or after a workout – I just add my fav protein powder. Whether you are looking to get back on that 2020 health kick, replace your current breakfast with a healthier option, or just love smoothies - today, I’m excited to share my two favourite everyday smoothie recipes!


My Go-to Green Breakfast Smoothie



Ingredients

  • 1/2 a banana

  • 1 c. of spinach (handful is about a cup)

  • 1 whole apple

  • 1/4 c. plain or vanilla Greek yogurt

  • 1/2 c. frozen strawberries

  • splash of unsweetened vanilla almond milk or more to thin if needed


Directions

  1. Add ingredients to blender and blend until smooth

  2. Sip and enjoy!



My Go-to Berry Morning Smoothie



Ingredients

  • 1 frozen banana

  • 1/3 c. frozen blueberries

  • 1/3 c. frozen raspberries

  • 1/3 c. frozen strawberries

  • 1/2 c. plain or vanilla Greek yogurt

  • splash of unsweetened vanilla almond milk or more to thin if needed


Directions

  1. Add ingredients to blender and blend until smooth

  2. Sip and enjoy!


Additional Adds

For both smoothies I add the following:

  • 1 tbsp. chia seeds

  • 1 tbsp. hemp hearts

  • 1 tbsp. flax seeds

  • protein powder (add your fav)
