Raise your hand if you're over this travel ban... Perfect! I'm glad I'm not the only one. This might just be the longest I've gone without traveling in years... I miss everything about it!
Living vicariously through my camera roll – for now, all I can do is plan on Pinterest and pray.
I know were not traveling any time soon... but you can NEVER be to prepare right? Now. Not to brag or anything but I’d say I’m a pretty experienced traveler. I’ve packed and planned for everything and anything from weekends away, to a week away, too 13 days away, to two months of backpacking, to moving across the world for four months.
I will say – perfection comes with practice! The more I travel, the more I experience and the more I experience the more I learn. Although I've YET to perfect the art of packing (help me) … today, I am sharing all of my travel tips, tricks, and hacks!
You can never be too safe. Email yourself a scanned copy of your passport! As travel hacks go, this is one you don’t want to ignore in case anything goes wrong.
Two words. Life savor! I can't believe I never used these before backing packing last year. I love these and highly recommend everyone purchase these. They are a great hack for staying organized - I even use them for weekend getaways.
Never travel without one! I can not stress this enough - it will become your favourite travel accessory! Great for the airport, the beach, and full-day excursions, etc.
A small bag for electronics
A great way to stay organized while traveling! I recommend a small, clear pouch - that way it's easy to see what's inside.
This is a must-have when traveling - especially if you're moving from place to place. I love that they are fast-drying, incredibly compact, and super lightweight. I travel with either my Tesalate - Sand Free Beach towel or my Lululemon large towel. Tip: these towels can be used as a yoga mat, a workout mat, an extra blanket, etc.
Re-useable zip lock bags
Travel tip! These are great for traveling! They're so useful and helpful! I use them for anything and everything! I use them to pack up wet bathing suits/clothes, to keep my shampoo and conditioner from leaking, and to pack snacks for day trips.
Shampoo, conditioner, and body wash
Travel hack! I ONLY ever travel with TSA approved sized bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. If I'm ever running low I either use the bottles form hotels or whats supplied in hostels to fill up my bottles. ALSO another great tip - you can buy shampoo, conditioner, and body wash tablets... this is a great way to save room and save the planet :)
Make use of local grocery stores
I ALWAYS bring snacks with me no matter where I'm traveling. I also always bring Vitamin C packets... you never know! A great way to save money or to stay on budget is to buy groceries - this will save you SO much money when traveling. Depending on where I'm staying or where I am in the world I will buy bananas, apples, buns, granola bars, etc.
Never a pillow, just the case.. LOL. I always pack a pillowcase for where ever I'm going... call me crazy but I just do it - I love having my own pillowcase especially in Hostels.
Travel tip: Always travel with a Tide-to-Go pen and Tide Travel Sink Packets. You never know!
Travel hack: Place dryer sheets throughout your bag this will keep everything smelling fresh throughout your trip.
And there you have it. Sweet and simple. All my travel tips, tricks, and hacks for the next time (or when) we travel again.
